My restaurant will lose money if I go smoke free.

  • Smoke-free policies are good for business. Since going smoke free, tax receipts in California have increased every year. In addition, New York bars and restaurants paid 12 percent more in local tax revenues in the first six months of smoke-free legislation.
  • A survey of nearly 30,000 New York restaurant goes found that 23% are eating out more and only 4% are eating out less because of the smoke-free law.
  • Some of Utah’s own bars and clubs have already gone smoke-free. “Going smoke free has been the best decision I could have made.
